Parish Pastoral Council

What is the Council?

The Council is made up of representatives of each church from across our three parishes. Council Members meet together to discuss a wide range of topics relating to the pastoral needs of our community.

UPDATE ON THE PARISH COUNCIL At the OPEN MEETING on March 21st 2026 it was agreed to adopt the new constitution for the Pastoral Council with a few minor adjustments to reflect the comments at the meeting. The only adjustments that have been made concern the membership. The new version now states:
This parish council shall have a membership of 12 persons, (and the parish Priest) who either serve ex-officio because of their responsibilities in the parish, or because they are appointed by the parish priest.
Ex- Officio Members would be: The Parish Priest, the Parish Sisters, the Assistant priest, the Parish Deacon.
The Appointed Members would be 4 elected Members, one from each Mass, and 7 representatives from different areas of parish life.
1 Charity Rep to liaise with SVP, Foodbanks, Sudan, Cafod, Life.
1 Liturgy Rep to liaise with the choirs and music groups
1 Social Rep to liaise with CWL, Knights, Welcomers group (stewards), and Social Committee.
1 Prayer Rep to liaise with the Legion of Mary, Divine light, LASA, Padre Pio and Emmaus
1 Youth Outreach rep to liaise with Catechists, Youth Ministry and Children’s Liturgy.
